This group is intended for early career scientists doing plant microbiome-related research in the Netherlands and wish to participate in monthly online meetings which consist of presentations and follow-up discussions on a given topic that falls within the field of plant microbiomes. Presentations will include both new articles in the field of plant microbiomes as well as own work (e.g. PhD proposal or research results).
The way we work:
- we meet every 6 weeks on Monday from 16h-17h in M5 of Radix-mid. It is also possible to join via Teams.
- every member of the group hosts a meeting approximately once a year
- the host of the meeting is responsible for the content of the meeting. It can be a presentation by the host or a speaker, a paper or issue to discuss, etc. If the host of the meeting is unable to prepare the content of the meeting, the host is responsible for finding an alternative host.
- an excursion is also possible, but as that likely takes more time than just 1 hour, this is discussed well in advance with the group.
- it is encouraged that members join every meeting, but we all know that is not always possible. If members cannot join, they should inform the chair to prevent others from waiting.
- last but not least... we try to have drinks and snacks regularly!
For more information or to join the discussion group, please contact the chairs Sabine de Graauw (sabine.degraauw@wur.nl ) or Johannah de Zeeuw (johannah.dezeeuw@wur.nl ).
Looking forward to starting a constructive series of meetings about plant microbiomes!
