Dear PE&RC PhD Candidates,
The Career Committee of the PE&RC PhD Council is organizing the Annual Company Visit, and this year we are visiting Priva and Greengrounds (members of the Priva Group) on 26 September 2025, from 12:30 to 15:30 (travel time excluded from various PE&RC partner institutions).
This visit offers an unique opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the operations and innovations of a leading technology company. Participants will:
- Learn about Priva Group’s mission, business domains, and operations through a presentation by experienced team members from Priva and Greengrounds.
- Explore key technologies in energy management, climate control, irrigation, and labor management during a tour of Priva’s Growth Labs.
- Understand how PhD expertise translates into real-world innovation through a presentation and interactive Q&A with team members, covering career transitions, industry expectations, and the value of academic training in technology-driven companies.

Logistics
- Travel will be by public transport to De Lier. PhD candidates can use their financial rucksack, which covers education and training activities, to reimburse transportation costs, or discuss alternatives with your supervisors.
- Carpooling options may be arranged closer to the date, depending on how many participants indicate (in the registration form) that they have cars and are willing to drive; updates will be provided.
- Lunch will be provided by the PE&RC Graduate School, and coffee and light snacks will be offered by the company.
